After years of working in the hospitality industry, their combined experience of working as chefs, restauranteurs and catering managers gave Stuart and Denise the necessary preparation to pursue their passion full-time. Stuart and Denise clearly exude a passion for what they do, admitting that their favourite thing about the job is meeting and getting to know their customers, bonding over a shared love of all things lollies and chocolate. Part of the love of the job also comes from a “rediscovering of the lollies you loved as a child, allowing you to take a trip down memory lane” as Stuart and Denise poetically put it.
When asked what sage advice they would give to other aspiring business owners, they had this to share:
“Plan the operations of your business, gaining experience is a costly exercise, particularly in time.” And finally, “seek advice from a business coach prior to commencement.”
