Our BizCover offices are filled with dedicated and passionate team members, that are committed to our business, and yours. In BizCover By Day we celebrate some of our extraordinary team members, in and outside the office.
Nazrana is a Senior Data Analyst at BizCover. For almost four years, Nazrana has been using data to help BizCover help small businesses through finding new and important insights and opportunities. As part of the Data Analysis team, Nazrana works across almost every other department at BizCover. She loves being able to work with the unique people that make up BizCover and the data that she is constantly generating.
While data may be her forte in the office, on the weekend Nazrana swaps the numbers for the tarmac as a keen Formula One and Ferrari fan. First experienced as a family passion, she soon fell in love with it on her own terms and now often watches and attends races.
“Growing up with two older brothers meant I had no control over the TV remote. Every two weeks on a Sunday afternoon, they’d put it on the F1. After I watched my first race in 2000 when I was 10 years old, I was hooked.”
One of the most memorable moments in her time following F1 came in her previous role for a general insurer who used driver behaviour data to give motor insurance discounts to policyholders.
“On the board of directors was Rory Byrne, an F1 legend, who had designed of all Michael Schumacher’s championship winning cars. I got to meet and work with him… He even signed a drawing I did of a Ferrari F1 car.”
Even despite the lack of Formula One at the BizCover office, Nazrana thinks cheering on her favourite drivers is cathartic and probably reduces the chance she’ll start screaming at work!
Overall, Nazrana really enjoys working with her team at BizCover, helping to build something larger to help BizCover and in turn small businesses.
“The business is growing and there’s so much opportunity for people to grow with it. We’re always encouraged to improve ourselves and discuss any new ideas we have to grow the business – it’s very satisfying to be able to be a part of something bigger.”
